1. Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Perform general aircraft airframe and powerplant duties on a variety of projects for a growing flight school and local FBO. A&P required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
- Perform repair, modification, and inspection of engines, components, and air frames under the direction of the Director of Maintenance
- Perform testing of repaired aircraft systems for proper performance
- Perform cleaning and lubricating of equipment and other routine maintenance work under the direction of the Director of Maintenance
- Ensures compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations, and Lake Elmo Aero, LLC standards
- Coordinates aircraft maintenance schedules with Director of Maintenance
- Prepares and maintains documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and Company policies
- Keep written records of each job/assignment to ensure quality of work and all requested work completed
- Perform necessary and required work on customer and fleet aircraft
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Tools appropriate for the job
- Regular scheduled attendance

Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completion of two years of trade or vocational school (or equivalent work experience)
- A&P license REQUIRED.
Preferred Skills
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to process complex systems and logically think through problems
- Ability to effectively use tools applicable to performing basic aircraft maintenance, inspection, servicing, repair, overhaul, modification, and/or replacement of parts.
- Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to prioritize.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

2. Parts Manager

Pay: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour
The Parts Manager supports the Director of Maintenance in overseeing the company’s maintenance operations. This role is responsible for managing the procurement of both inventory and non-inventory parts, ensuring timely availability of materials to support maintenance activities, and assisting the maintenance team in meeting project timelines. The Parts Manager also collaborates with customers and internal departments on a daily basis to ensure clear communication and efficient workflow. This position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance. Currently this is a newer position that was created last year and is continuing to evolve into a full time position.
Responsibilities of the Parts Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Director of Maintenance in overseeing the day to day administrative maintenance operations of the company.
- Coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Promptly answering phone calls and communicating with aircraft owners on a daily basis.
- Identify new opportunities for work flow improvement to maximize efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels of parts and equipment, ensuring immediate availability for maintenance events and repairs.
- Receive, unpack, and distribute incoming parts. Ship outgoing materials/parts.
- Use a purchase order system with all vendors & parts.
- Use eBay and similar platforms to sell, buy, and research parts
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to flight school operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for maintenance staff.
- Manage maintenance accounts payable and receivables. Collect payments from customers.
- Keep a safe, clean and orderly work space.
- Basic qualifications include:
- General aviation experience preferred
- Basic computer functions including Microsoft office and Google suite programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrates timely and efficient results.
- Be able to work independently.
- Be a self starter.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt to company and team needs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Familiarity with supply chain management
